Creating the Archetype collection was like playing with the idealised concept of a bed, resulting in a diverse range of designs. By adding or removing a few elements from the design, the bed is completely transformed, offering a varied collection with a strong, solid wooden character.

At one point in the design process, it was a bit like playing with Kapla blocks, which are also made of wood. Adding or removing a few basic elements creates either the impression of hyper-stability, as if the bed were firmly anchored to the ground, or a sense of levitation, as if the beds were suspended in a dream. These different designs respond to different logics and desires.

The beds are defined by a generous base, into which a large headboard is plugged at an angle. It is held in place without the need for any specific connection. The angle of the headboard increases comfort when sitting on the bed.

This bed is either offered as a more minimalist proposition, with the base resting directly on the floor. While the other options follow the same construction logic, they have a shorter base that in one version appears to be floating in the air. This gives the solid wood structure a real impression of lightness. The bed then appears to rest solely on a long beam placed on the floor at the back of the bed. This beam extends beyond the bed to form a tablet that can support a small container with a drawer allowing you to hide away your most precious belongings.

The headboard is available in two sizes: a higher version and a lower version. The lower version can be fitted with a double, cushioned pillow upholstered in high-quality fabric or leather. It is fastened to the bed from the back of the headboard. The mattress can be adjusted in height to suit individual preferences and body types.

The Architypes collection is a sculptural range designed to be viewed from all sides. It is crafted exclusively from solid wood and offers a wide range of possibilities by creating new, timeless archetypes.
