PILED CERAMIC VASES – A Dynamic Vase Collection Design Alain Gilles for XL BOOM  (BE)

The Piled ceramic vases take their inspiration from elements that have been stacked up. As if imaginary ceramic bowl had been placed on top of each other in a cupboard and somehow turned into a functional object, a vase in this case.

Thanks to an uncommon repletion in their shape a dynamic is created within the architecture of the vase itself. A simple vase appears to be a composition of two elements.

The narrow openings of the vases act as a graphic focal point but they aslo have a functionality side to them since they offer the possibility to make appealing flower presentations with less flowers while still being wide enough for a bouquet of flowers of a standard size.

This collection in ceramic is both modern and traditional at the same time since these stacked shaped could have almost been taken out of a classical still life painting.

The Piled vases can be used with fresh or dried flowers.
